John Lynch obtains Defense Verdict for Contractor Foreman

 

On September 24, 2013 John Lynch successfully defended an excavation contractor foreman in a case involving an alleged assault during the construction of a Wal-Mart in Kankakee, Illinois. The case was tried in Cook County. The plaintiff claimed that he suffered permanent neck and back injuries after having been assaulted by the defendant during a dispute over the compliance of certain groundwork with project specifications. The plaintiff asked the jury for a verdict of over $330,000 at the close of the case. The plaintiff obtained a verdict against John’s client but only in the amount of $905.00, and all of the contractors were found not guilty.
