In this action, the plaintiff alleged that while shopping at a retail store, a shelf fell striking her left foot and causing her significant injury. In his summary judgment motion, John argued that the defendant did not have notice of any allegedly dangerous or defective condition in the store, breached no duty to the plaintiff and no evidence was adduced to even identify the specific cause of the accident.  The United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois granted the motion and the decision was not appealed.  Barrios v. Fashion Gallery, Inc., Court No. 1:15-cv-10193.
